SPEEDWAY SMASH
MOTOR CYCLE CAREERS OVER SIDE. (Australian Press Association). SYDNEY. Dec. H. At the reopening of the Maronbra speedway to-day, a sensational accident marred the proceedings. J. Spencer's motor cycle, at the turn into the straight, shot up over Hie top and disappeared. It careered clown the* sleep outside slope and broke through a wire fence. Spencer was sent to the hospital with a fractured shoulder and arm. The accident occurred close to (lie spol where Dutton crashed fatally a year ago.
