THE BIG THREE
— A COMING MEETING. (.united Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this day at 10.30. a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 9. For 11 to first time since mid-year, Sir A. Chamberlain, M. Briand and Herr Strescmann will he reunited at Lugano League Council Meeting for which Sir A. Chamberlain left this morning. Whitehall does not expect the evacuation of Rhineland to be brought up as a Council subject. Indeed, the “Zeitung Ammitagg” declares Cabinet lias instructed Strescmann not to raise the subject but to avoid discussion wherein he would have to declare that Germany was unable to offer financial or other compensation for a premature evacuation. It is generally agreed that the Big Three will informally confer on divergencies of view in appointing an expert committee to carry out the ideas propounded at Geneva in September. LEAGUE MEETING. LONDON, Dec. 9. The Lugano League Secretariat announces the March Meeting of the Council will probably meet in Madrid in recognition of Spain’s return.
