THREATS OF VIOLENCE.

SYDNEY, Dec. 5,
Mr Walsh stated threats of violence had been made against his supporers by followers of Jacob Johnson in the Seamen’s Union. Several of his supporters had been accosted on the way home.

One of the main clauses of the Explosive Substances Bill, introduced as an urgent measure, provides for fifteen years’ gaol for any person unlawfully causing an explosion likely to endanger life, or cause serious injury to property. Tho Bill was passed through all stages by both Houses*
SLASHED WITH A RAZOR.
MELBOURNE, Dec. 5
An Italian named Vincenzo Upapolia, was slashed in the face with a razor by a countryman named Aroangel Strano, who later gave himself up to the police.
