The anti-Reforms Government in Afghanistan is increasing in virulence despite the efforts of King Amantillab to pacify tribal leaders. Jallalabnd and Duh'ka which are heavily- garrisoned by Afghan troops have been besieged by Shinwarios. Traffic between Kalbui and Pesliwar is stopped. The King is personally directing operations against the tribesmen, who are lei l hv a Mullah or Priest. It is reported there isi a petrol famine in Kabul on account of lorries not being allowed to proceed from Lidia.
