Eight revolver shots which . were fired just sis the Court was ad join ning for lunch, abruptly ended the trial of an Albanian student, Alikebiad Redi, charged with murdering the Albanian Minister, Conn Reg, last year at Prague. Redi had just finished giving evidence in which he said he was‘sent to carry out the assassination on behalf of Albanian revolutionists, when Forier, a servant of Reg’s brother, whipped out a revolver loaded with dumdum bullets. One hit Redi, believed to he fatally, and others wounded included a journalist and interpreter, but not seriously. The jurymen fled in a panic. One jumped to the floor and broke his arm. Women fainted and the v Court cleared like magic. The servant was arrested.
