It is stated Smith and illlm are leaving for Britain at the end of December to arrange for the purchase of aeroplanes for a now service which they propose to establish between Melbourne and 'Brisbane yia Canberra. LABOUR LEADER. SYDNEY, Nov. 29. Sydney Labour circles are speculating on the possibilities of Mr Theodore displacing Mr Scidlin as leader, of the Federal Parliamentary party, whose success in New South Wales at the recent election is attributed to Mr Theodore’s work as a campaign director. A strong section favours his appointment. Kilt SOULLIN’S CRITICISM. MELBOURNE, Nov. 29. Mr Scullin speaking at a luncheon to State Labour leaders, criticised Mr Bruce’s appeal to all parties to cooperate Ifor the benefit of Australia. He declared before the election the Prime Minister represented the Labourites as blood-thirsty revolutionaries, yet a few days later he invited representatives of “Anarchists” to assist in running Australia.
