VEST IMS’S POSITION STATED
INCORRECTLY

NEW YORK, Nov. 26.
The Marconi International Marine Communication Radio Log. of all messages dealing with the Ytstris, was produced at Attorney Tuttle's enquiry. It showed that Perry radioed the Master of the Coderic at 10.5 Gon Monday morning: “We do not need your help.” Although Perry .sent an S.O.S. at 3.58 the Cedcric replied at 10.50 that she was 180 miles away and would go to the assistance of the Yestris. it no other vessels were nearer. It was then Perry declined help. It as further disclosed that at 8.3•. Captain Carey wirelessed the steamship Kedwiel: Hall • stand by. we mav need your help.”
It is assumed that C.w tain Carey declined the Coderio’? aul because he believed he could get help more quicklv from other sources.
The Commanding Officer of the Wyoming testified that the Vestris’s position, as sent out by. the vessel, was incorrect by thirty-seven miles,
