AT. Naiiitre, otherwise “Luigi,” an Italian, who started life in London as a 1 butler at 6s a week, has sold the Embassy, now tile most famous dance club in the' world, for £127,000. He has been retained as manager at a salary of £6ooo' a year.
Tlie chib consists of a room in Old Bond' Street, from which the average takings are .£90.000 a year.
It is computed that Luigi has made £125,000 since he purchased the cln 1 from the late Air James "White in 1920 with £6OOO of borrowed money. Shortly afterwards the King of Spain, tlie King of Greece, the Prince of Wales, and Prince George brought parties to dinner on the same night, and Luigi’s fortune was made.
