LONDON, November 21. The King’s Bench division dismissed the appeal of the Sheffield “lelegraph , against the conviction for printing and circulating a- football forecast competition. It was pointed out that a calculation had been submitted to the Magistrates to the effect that, assuming 24 matches had to be correctly forecasted out of 44 ou the coupon, it would be necessary to submit approximately 282,000 million forecasts before it could be certain of the correct results. The outcome of the decision is that the London newspapers announce th© ceasing of the competiions 4ollhwith.
