BIG HOSPITAL PROJECT
AUCKLAND. November 19
Cardinal Corel ti (Papal Legate at the recent F.ucharistie Congress at Sydney) was present at the laying ol tin* foundation stone of the new wing of the Mater Miscriocordme Hospital this afternoon. He blessed the new project, which will cost forty thousand pounds. It was announced that Risliop ( leary had given LoOO. and Risliop Hredic. ol Christchurch, CoO to the building fund, and also that an ex-patient had donated an X-ray outfit valued at IHOOO. A collection at tin* gathering realised C|or the building 'fund.
Bishop Cleary leaves by the Aorangi to-morrow, with Cardinal Ceretti, and will go to Honolulu, and then to San Francisco. Owing to his somewhat slow recovery Irom his motoring accident last July, his doctor has prescribed a sea voyage for Hishop ( leary.
