Inman (receiving -.<>00.) is 2.550 (breaks 111. 100). Fred Lindrum (in plav) .1499 (breaks 210, twice. 128. 1(K). bred Lindrum is the brother oi Walter, now in New Zealand.
Lindrum on his first appearance at the billiard table created a favourable qiression. Inman was hopelessly outclassed in to-day’s play, scoring 855 against Lindrum’s 1490. Critics note that Lindrum plays a. top of the table game in the approved English style, but nevertheless his breaks would have been higher on several occasions had he adopted an off (rame. His desire to create a favourable impression was obvious from the outset, though it often proved bis undoing. He tried to score faster than Inman, and although he succeeded, most of his breakdowns came from ridiculously easy strokes. To-night, the unfortunate loss of the white ball drove him to the red ball, with which he made the limit of 75.
