A FRESH REBUFF
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). PARIS, Nov. 18. His Eminence Cardinal Dubois (Archbishop of Paris) has issued an appeal to the members of the Action Francaise party residing in bis diocese explaining that his instructions referring to marriages had been modified in order to 'prevent any repetition of recent scenes that had occurred in Paris churches when members of the Action Francaise organisation were being married. Such marriages in future would not, stated Cardinal Dubois, lie celebrated either in any church or in any sacristy, but only at tlie bride s house, in tho presence of a local cm ate or vicar. Members of the Action Francaise will not he allowed to belong to Catholic societies or to subscribe thereto. Cardinal Dubois points out that the Action Francaise newspaper continues to he sold at the Church doors, and he has ordered the clergy to inform the congregations at each Mass that they are (forbidden to sell, buy, circulate or read the newspaper.
