ARBITRATION COURT
POSTPONEMENT OF SITTINGS. (By Telegraph—Press Assouan WELLINGTON. Nov. 17. During tne course of his remarks n Dio Arbitration Court yesterday, in regard to tlie postponement of the sittings of the Court, until alter the new year. Mr O’Regan said, however gratifying the promotion of Air I? razor to tne Supreme Court Bench was to the legal profession, and to the public, be felt bound to protest against the postponement. Mr o’Regan’s remarks conveyed the implication that the legal profession approved of the appointment stated the President of the New Zealand Society. Mr Gray, K.C. to-day. In point of fact no society or body was authorised to state the views of the legal profession. Neither the New Zealand Law Society or any district Law Society had expressed approval of the appointment, temporary though it might lie. As a matter of fact, (ho Council of the Wellington District Law Society had addressed a letter of protest to the Attorney-General on the subject.
