CRICKET
CRICKET SNOBBERY. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). LONDON, Nov. 14. The “Daily Express” publishes a report from a Sydney newspaper to the effect that amateur and professional snobbery is rife in the AI.C.C. team and heads the report “More propaganda.” It refers to it editorially stating “of course the report is untrue. Snobbery of that kind has long since disappeared from cricket. Unfortunately there are Australian-; whoso blood pressure rockets on the subject of class distinctions and the supposed prevalence of them in England. We need not worry about the rumour from Australia that our men are guilty of such unmannerly foolishness. They are a mere sample of the kind of propaganda in which some Australians take a curious pleasure.” ENGLISH TEAM FOR TO-DAY. SYDNEY, November 15. The English team against the Australians to-morrow is as follows: — White (captain). Jnrdine, Hold's, Alead, Sutcliffe, Hendren, Tate. Tyldesley, Larwood, Duckworth, and Geary, with Hammond as twelfth man.
