On the eve ol to-day s debate in the Reichstag on a Socialist motion against the building of a ten-thousand ton cruiser. President Aon I lindenluug had a sensational interview with the Chancellor. lie declared with great emphasis in favour <>4 the eiuisci. which virtually has been ordeicd. Socialist .Ministers will not participate in the voting. A meeting of the Socialist Party last night, however, decided that the whole party must vote in favour of the motion against the cruiser. This decision is binding on the Chancellor and the three other Socialist .Ministers. Thus a situation has been created in which the fall of the Government is a possibility, hut it is believed that it will he averted.
