AYATILE’S SECRET. \By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) t. WELLINGTON, Nov. 13. At Obakune Court, lwfore Justices Sargeant and Larkin, AY. C. Waldo, with several aliases, who escaped from Raetihi lock-up last month, pleaded guilty to eight charges of breaking entering and theft, whilst at liberty, and false pretences, valueless cheques, and breaking goal. He was committed to the Supreme Court at Auckland for sentence. For theft of explosives from a person unknown, he was dealt with summarily being sentenced to three months, and for breaking gaol to eighteen months. He made a sworn .statement exonerating the police from and negligence, declaring the lock-up was unable to bold him. He had .no outside assistance, but will continue not to divulge the mystery of the method of escape. TWO PRISONERS RECAPTURED. AUCKLAND, November 12. Two prisoners at Alount iv.len gaol., John Charles Concord and diaries Frederick Murphy escaped from a quarry gang about four hundred yards from the prison walls shortly before five o’clock to-night. A search was quickly organised, and within half an hour both men were, discovered hiding in a nearby section. Their .surrender was without incident. AVHTT'E GLOVES FOR JUDGE.
