CAUSES SMALL PANIC

(Received this day at 10.30. a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 13.

A fire among the films in the operating lx>x at the picture theatre at Brighton Le Sands, following a small explosion, and a burst of flames, alarmed the audience. A panic prevailed for a time, women screaming and rushing the exits, which became jammed. Several women fainted, but order was quickly restored and the fire was subdued. Several thousand feet of film were destroyed.
