ALL SAINTS TENNIS CLUB
SUCCESSFUL OPENING. On Saturday last All Saints Tennis Club opened its season, there being a good number of members present and also visitors, from Tvumara, Kokatahi, and Hokitika Clubs. The afternoon was bright and sunny after the rather boisterous morning, but the presence of a cold southerly made conditions for play very unpleasant. Prior to the opening the President of the Club, llev. Nelson Wright addressed the assemblage. He spoke on the fine state of the Club at the present time and said it was a matter for congratulation that such a happy state of affairs existed. He concluded by wishing the Club every success during tbe coming .season. Air H. M. Coulson, Vice-President, and Mr W. Clietwynd. the Secretary, endorsed the feelings of the first speaker and extended good wishes lor future successes. At the conclusion of the speeches the lady members of the Club provided a dainty afternoon tea. and the games were gone on with, a very happy time being enjoyed by all.
