ANGLICAN CHURCH
BISHOP OF LONDON
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright).
LONDON. Nov. 9
The Daily Express states that, although the Rubrics permiting the reservation of the Sacrament were the chief reason for the House of Commons rejection of the new Prayer Book, the Bishop of London has sent a letter to 160 incumbents of churches where reservations are practised (out of a total of 020 churches in his diocese), announcing that he will permit Reservation as in the past. The decision of the Bishop’s Conference, following the second rejection bv Parliament, was to take tbe new Book as the standard, but to consult the clergy of tbe synods. The London Synod rejected the proposal to permit reservations as under tbe now Book. The Bishop’s letter, therefore. defies both the Synod and the House of Commons.
