BOMB OUTRAGE
MOHAMMEDAN SURGEON’S ACT.

Standing on the roof of a lion.se with iKimhs in one hand and a dagger in the other, a (Mohammedan Surgeon at Meerut, in the presence of a crowd of several thousand, defied the police. He had quarrelled with his wife and went to the liou.se where she was staying. On the way he met his brother-in-law, whom he blew to pieces. He threw other bombs slightly injuring his wife and small son. He then barricaded himself in the house, and in reply to the police challenge to surrender, hurled more bombs injuring several in the crowd. He was ultimately shot in the leg by a constable. The surgeon was arrested and hospitallcd where he is recovering from an overdose of opium.
