AN INQUEST

Sensational features about the inquest onened to-day into the death of Freda Alien Clark aged 20, found in a state of collapse in a nursing home yesterday and died before the doctor s arrival the only witness, Mrs Dons Dannefeard deceased’s sister said Freda was employed is an office m the Aroha borough. Chief Dete/tive Hammond: • ''hen did you last see her alive.” “I refuse to answer.” Coroner Hunt— “ Where did your sister live? “I refuse to answer.” Witness on being informed by Hunt she must answer Was proceeding, when counsel for the relations said the coroner was carrying things too far, only identification evidence being necessary. At this stage Hunt replied he was me best Judge and would not adjourn until lie thought fit. Witness then stated she wasn’t present when her sister died. An adjournment was made sine die after Hammond remarked it was hard to get any particulars at all.
