SAAT..ALAIING CLUB
The annual meeting of the Ross Swimming Club took place on Y> edit osdn v evening. <1 good attendance being present.
The Secretary (Mr XV. Blncklov) presented the report and balance sheet for the past year showing n substantial credit, balance in hand.
A 'committec was set up for the coming season with Air A. A\ . Peebles as President and Mr AY. Blacklbw as Secretary and Treasurer.

The Ross Borough Council have had some good work done during the past 0 or 10 days when the Public Works tractor and grader has been employed grading and cleaning t-lie whole of the streets in the town, which now present a very respectable apnea ra me. This grader lias ‘lone* a remarkable amount of work for the ' number of days employed, the same work could never have been attempted with manual labour as the cost would have been enormous compared with ibis method, especially as the Public AVorks Department were most reasonable in their hire charges. Afr J. O’Brien is announced t<> deliver a political address on Saturday, 3rd insf.. at Fergusons at 0.30 p.m. and in Ross at 8 p.m.
