DEATH PENALTY
ABOLITION IN GERMANY

BERLIN, November 1. The Committee of the Reichstag, discussing criminal code reform, has provisionally passed a resolution in ifnvour of the abolition of the death penalty, which the present Reichstag is expected to carry.
SALE OE SOVIET TREASURES
BERLIN, Oct. 31
Directors of the sale' rooms, cabled on Tuesday, have strict orders to refuse admission to all Russians, including nobles. The Foreign Office rejected the protests on the ground that Cermanys trade agreement with the Soviet pledges a permit for the sale of Soviet owned gods and adds, “any dispute in that connection can bo settled in the law courts.’,■’
