BOILER EXPLOSION
REMARKABLE TRAGEDY

SYDNEY, Nov. 1
A piece of iron, hurtled by an explosion aboard an old paddle steamer at the Rozelle wharf, fell fifty yards away, killing the owner of this vessel. .John Grille. Another piece of iron struck the side of a house 100 yards further on, and smashed, among other things, a kitchen sideboard. SYDNEY, Nov. 1. The paddle steamer on which the explosion occurred was nhmed the Newcastle. She was lieing broken up by explosives. AYlien Grille was standing clear awaiting the firing of the charge, lie was struck by a flying piece of scrap iron. Another man standing close by in conversation with Grille, escaped injury.
