The “Morning Post” expresses the hope that the Air Ministry’s proposals will not lead to an extension of State control of civil aviation, .which at present is developing rapidly and naturally out of control. Air Commander Salmon, one of the most famous war personalities and pioneers of British naval flying has jbecu restored to full pay from Ist October. There was surprise ill 1927 when lie was planed on half pay, though he was thou only forty-four, ft is explained that the post was not then available. Germans in war time offered a thousand pounds reward for bi.s capture, alive or dead.
