SYDNEY - , October 30,
A city firm yesterday suspected the l)()lli ' tides of a bank note .which had come into its possession. Detectives’ investigations resulted in a visit to a Darling Point residence and the subsequent arrest of a woman on a charge of uttering a forged ten pound note.

ATTACKERS SUFFER.

Two men, allegedly Unionists, waylaid an Italian returning from work on the waterfront late last night. They were unaware of the presence nearby of other Italians, who responded to their countryman’s call for aid. in the ensuing brawl, knives flashed, and the tables were turned on the original attackers, who received several slashesj requiring attention. The Italians disappeared.
