The annual meeting of the. New Zealand Employers’ Federation was he’d to-day. The election of officers resulted : President, the, Hon T. Sliailer Weston, M.L.C.; Vice-President, A. C. Mitchell; immediate ex-President, W. Hopkii’k; Treasurer,. H. Coull; Trustees, Messrs W. D.. Hunt, T. Ballinger, W. H. Bennett and Dr C. P. Knight; Auditor, William C,. Stephens. ECONOMY ADVOCATED. AUCKLAND, Oct. 24. Mr J. S. Fletcher, United candidate for Grey Lynn, condemned the .Government’s methods of expenditure, and asked what the Reform Party meant economy when expenditure out of the Consolidated Fund was increasing annually.
