(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyri gilt).
(Received this day at 10 a.m.)
LONDON, Oct. 25
Correction —-The Bishop of Liverpool, addressing the Synod sajd he was not altogether in agreement with the Bishops’ proposals, which Jie hoped would be modified. He especially regretted the proposed sanction for the use of alternative communion office. Nobody desired a. new office more than himself, but lie still hoped the Bishops would quietly lay it aside for the present, however much some of them desired it. It would ,be : a fruitful sacrifice.
Tlie Synod voted against the first four questions and accepted the fifth; also the Bishops’ two further questions, first t« support him in any act of censure pronounced by him relating to the use of the reservation elements. Secondly, agreeing no sanction be given to use the 1928 Book.
Correction—Bishop Lichfield accepted ail I questions.
