HAVELOCK WILSON’S VICTORY. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copy r ignt). (Received this, day at 10 a.m.) LONDON, October 24. Havelock Wilson has won the first, round of the fight with the Transport Workers’ Union which is endeavouring to recruit seamen to its membership. Following his organisation’s expulsion from the Trade Union Congress, the Transport Union endeavoured to put a crew aboard the ship Birkenhead, but; the shipowners, refused to recognise the union.. The latter vessel arrived from London manned by transport Uniop men. The owners immediately replaced them with Wilson supporters.
