During the past year 32,000,00 artificial Flanders poppies, for sale on the celebration of A’ur* tice Day, have been made by disabled ex-service men at the British Legion’s factory at Richmond, and within the next two weeks they will all have been distributed to some 3000 local committees throughout the country. It is anticipated that’ about £500.000 will be raised for disabled ex-ser-vicemen by the street sales oi these emblems.

RUGBY, October 18. •Sir George jSchtteter. accomoanied by’ Lady Schuster, will leave London this afternoon for Delhi to take up his duties as Minister of Finance of the Government of India in succession to Sir Basil Blackett, who vacated the Office in April. (Sir George Schuster' has been economic and finance adviser to the Colonial Office since 1927. He was rjviously Financial Secretary to the Sudan Government.)
