LONDON, October 21. ' Andrew Fisher is seriously ill and his recovery is despaired for.

EX-PRIME MINISTER DEAD. .

* LONDON, Oct. 22. Obituary—Andrew' Fisher, ex-Prime Minister of Australia, aetat 66.

LONDON, October 22. Mr Andrew Fisher for some months past was failing steadily and suffered a severe attack of influenza last week. Heart weakness manifested .itself on Saturday and the doctor held out no hope of recovery. He died peacefully at nine in the morning. A flag was flown at half mast on Australia House.

An official enquiry has been cabled to Mr Bruce (Prime Minister of Australia) as to whether he wishes to accord Mr. Fisher a State funeral. '
