RACING CONFERENCE
FRESH EXECUTIVE ELECTION
WELLINGTON, October 19
A special meeting of the Racing Conference to-day, presided over by the Vice-President, Mr Watkins, in the absence of the President, \Sir George Clifford, through ill health, endorsed the President’s action in declaring the election of the Exeuctive Committee at the last annual conference void and decided that the Executive Committee means a Committee consisting of the President, Vice-President and six representatives of the conference, who shall he elected at each annual conference, or, if necessary, at a special meeting of the conference; three to form a quorom.
There was a long discussion on a motion from Hawke’s Bay for winch, however, the necessary three-fourths majority was not forthcoming. The following delegates were elected . Messrs W. T. Ta/lett, G. Could, L. W. Nelson, H. A. Russell, A. C. Hanlon, and J • Perrett.
