HAVELOCK WILSON.

TO CONTINUE IN OFFICE

(Australian Press Association) (United Service).

(Received this day at 9. a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 17

At the annual conference' of the National Union of Seamen to-morrow, Mr Havelock Wilson will announce his reconsidered decision to resign the Presidency. He has received urgent requests, both from home and abroad, to continue in office, and lie has resolved to remain on the bridge during the critical period.

It is understood Mr Wilson’s decision has been largely influenced by the Trades Union Council’s expulsion of the Seamen’s Union, and the possibility that efforts will be made to form another Seamen’s Union.
