ALL WAVES AND CURLS-NOW LONDON, Oct. 16. Dame Clara Butt confessed at the opening of the Hairdressers’ Fair at j ]k- White City that she did not like the shingle' live years ago, but she was now converted to it. Sh.c had olden envied those having shingled hair, and "Mm was thinking hard about it.
The Hairdressers’ Exhibition however. has,.revealed that .Dame Butt is too late for the shingle, because it definitely is now dying out. The hairdressers admit the fact. f l he Exhibition is almost eon fined t-o models and mannequins showing how to dress the hair while it is growing. Each small Lull cl i is one of waves and curls on the nape of the neck, or tied over the ears.
The Daily Express describes this intermediate stage as “a phantasma nr hideous dream, ” hut adds that the men will cheerfully help the women through Imping that the worst is now over. The Annual Hairdressers Exhibit. on. held at Paris to-day has revealed the same thing. ■ ■ - '
