LORD LOVAT’S TOUR
TO INTERVIEW ENVOYS. . (Per Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) 1 WELLINGTON, Oct. 15. Lord Lovat, Minister-in-Charge of Overseas Settlement in the (British Government, arrived in Wellington by the New Plymouth express this evening. Lord Lovat stated to-night that he had been ordered by his medical adviser to take a week’s complete rest before going to Australia, and he greatly regretted that he would have to abandon his tour in the South Island, but he had arranged for Air Sherrington, C. 8.8., of the British " Treasury Office, who has been acoom- j panying him, to visit Christchurch and ( Dunedin, as arranged, and to■ fulfil .the arrangements already made insofar as matters concerning immigration were concerned. Air Skerringtan will keep Lord Lovat’s engagements in Wellington for him also. Representatives of the forty-six societies which interviewed Air Amery on the .subject of immigration when- he was, in New, Zealand, will confer with Mr Sherrington to-morrow. . \ Lord Lovat’s indisposition is not serious but is the recurrence of a previous minor complaint.
