OBITUARY
DEATH OF J. F. WHITE. (By Telegraph—Press Association). GREYMOUTM, Oct. 4. The death of Mr John Francis White took place suddenly last evening at the age. of 72 years. He was an insurance agent, and formerly manager of branches at Hokitika, Hamilton and Amberley, of the Bank of New Zealand. He was born at Auckland and became a prominent footballer, and captain of Win ton Rifle Club, a founder and first W.M. of Winton Masonic Lodge. He is survived by a widow, one son and two- daughters, Mrs Baird (Wvndham) and Mrs Howard Phillips (Palmerston North).
