PLACED MEN IN CYCLE RACE. i CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 4. Following on Saturday’s amateur cycle race, Papanui Sports Club has disqualified B. J. Arnst, O. Bearman, and C. W. Deans, the three first men to finish, on the ground that they received motor pace. If no appeal is lodged with, the Centre in seven days, T. W. Gifford (40min) will be declared the winner, M. F. Pearce (43min) second, and At. E. Berry (33min) third. By special arrangement Reuter’s world service in addition to otner special sources of information is used in the compilation of the overseas intelligence published in this issue, and all right therein in Australia and New Zealand am reserved.
