WHITE AUSTRALIA. (United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Oopyri girt). VANCOUVER, Sept. 28. A message from Saint John (New Brunswick), states that Senator Samp-, son (Australia) at the evic dinner in honour of the Empire Parliamentary Association referred to the statement that if the vacant spaces in the Dominion were not filled up the woild would not tolerate our holding these countries. He asked with what people, they were to be filled. "Were they to be filled with people from Asia? “The White Australia policy is not a policy so far as the inhabitants o! Australia are concerned. It is a relation,” lie said.
CANADIAN HORROR. YOUTH MURDERS MOTHER. VANCOUVER, Sept. 28. A message from Edmonton states: Vernon Boclier, aged 19 years, was found guilty of murder by shooting, his mother, bis brother and tivo liiied men, on their Nanvillo farm. He will be hanged on December 15th. He confessed to the crime. He said he did it because his mother had nagged him about his sweetheart.
