MaU members gaoled. (By Telegraph—Press Association). APIA, Sept. 25. Vala Popeea, , who was grievously wounded by •Mea'.uli, was sentenced to five years’ and Tuna to four years’ imprisonment. Meauli was found not guilty of the murder of Neemia. AH three cliargs arose from a recent fracas- among some Man supporters concerning the wearing of a High Chief’s head-dress by chiefs also of the Alan but of lower rank, resulting "in one death and one man being dangerously knifed. A delegation of three ministers is coming from the London Missionary Society to native Samoans, in an endeavour to settle the Samoan political Unrest, as affecting religious matters. The delegation is arriving at Apia from London on Friday next." The trading and shipping company, Burns Philip, Ltd. have purchased from the Samoan Administration a quarteracre block of land in tlie main street of Apia, and the three-storey building formerly the Central Hotel, for £-8,500. This is the first business property sale in Apia for several years.
