THE AIRMEN’S THANKS
CHRISTCHURCH, Sep. 27
The Tasman aviators, in the course of a. letter to the “Christchurch Star ” thanking the people of New Zealand for the magnificent welcome and hospitality, say : —‘ “We have received advice from Doctor Kidson (meteorologist) indicating that there is a possibility of having reasonably fair weather conditions for our return Trans-Tasman flight during next week, and in view of this and the fact that three or four days must he spent in testing our equipment prior to taking off, it is quite impossible for us to attend any further functions.” The aviators also wish to thank the press, as a whole, for the courtesy received through their hands.
