SCHOOL FAIR
The annual Fair in aid of tho Hokitika District High School ground funds was Held yesterday afternoon under somewhat unpleasant conditions. There was n fair attendance, however, and the receipts for the afternoon wore very satisfactory, totalling river • £7O. As this amount carries a subsidy of £ for £ when expended on ground improvement cue result will give a substantial addition to the funds of the Committee. Tlie prize winners' of several competiytioiis held were: —Fire screen, Mr Swoncy; cake, Mrs Burt; cushion, Miss Edna Spence. It is worthy of note that the school children gathered' together 110 dozen eggs for sale.
