THE NIAGARA SAILS. BIG PASSENGER. LIST. Australian Press Assn.—United Service (Received this day at 12.25 p.m.) VANCOUVER, Sep. 19. Amid cheers of a big crowd, the Niagara sailed to-day with tho Australian Scottisli party, New Zealand bowlers and Lord Lovat aboard. The Australians sang favourite old songs to tile onlookers, and were given a great send off. There were 379 passengers and a cargo of 3,700 tons of apples, onions, salmon and lumber.
MURDER FARM CASE. ARRESTS AND CHARGES. h (Received this day at 1.0 p.ra.) VANCOUVER, Sep. 19. A message from Calgary' says a woman lias been arrested who is suspected of being Snrah Louise Northcott, mother of Gordon Stuart Nortlieott, aged 21, the alleged ape man, and a pervert, accused of tho murder of four boys on a California chicken ranch, after horrible torture. The woman also faces a murder charge. The father is held at Los Angeles as a material witness. Search is beihg mado for a family of six who it is feared, also have been murdered. The case is known "'as the murder farm. Human bones have been dug up on the farm and a crude guillotine was found in the cellar of the Noftlicott house.
The first revelations were made when Jessie I Clark of Saskatoon applied to tho United Stntes for authority to deport her brother, Sanford Clark, a fif-teen-year-old boy. On being arrested he told a sensational story of killings. Northcott is still at liberty, despite a continental wide search. ’ It is believed he is in Vancouver, masquerading as a woman. '
