A RECORD PRICE. (By Tolegraph—Por Press Association.) LONDON, September 14. Lord Furness has received the world’s record prieo for a filly by Gay Crusader out of Love Oil, at the Doncaster sales of bloodstock. The price was thirteen thousand guineas. Lard Furness bought Love Oil for £7IOO. Critics consider the prico too high hut his judgment vindicated the sale. Her three .foals totalled £35,175. —United Service.
WANGANUI J.C. MEETING. WANGANUI, September 15. Unsettled weather prevailed for the concluding day of the Wanganui J.C. spring meeting, there being occasional showers. The track was in good ‘order in spite of the rain. The attendance was up to the average. The totnlisator handled £20,943 against £27,0571 on the corresponding day last year, making the total for the meeting £49,283 against £46,2754- last year, an increase of £2,9874. Tile Judicial Committee concluded its inquiry into the running of Valkon in the Maraiigai Handicap on the first day. After hearing the evidence of E. A. Keesing (jockey),, and A. E. Cox (trainer), and Mr W. Harper (the father of the owner, Mr P. 0. Harper who was not present), the Committee were of opinion that Valkon was not ruii on its merits, and that Cox and Keesing had been guilty of corrupt practice. Cox and Keesing were disqualified under Rule I, Part XXXII. fhe owner, P. G. Harper, was exonerated from all complicity in the matter. Debutante Stakes.—(3) Speed Light 1, (1) Francolin 2, (!) Courtlike 3. Won by half a head; a length and ,a-hnlf. Time 53 2-5.

N.Z. Eclipse Stakes.—(l) Laughing Prince 1, (3) Kiosk 2, (7) Mask 3. Won by a head; a short neck. Time 1.34 2-5. Railway Hack.—(l) Singleton 1, (9) Green Acre 2, (5) Lucy Rose 3. Won by a head; half a length. Time 1.35. Higgie Handicap.—(4) Royal Game 1, (2) To Koroke 2, (5) Nukumai 3. Won by a short head; two and a-half lengths. Time 2.11 4-5. Moutoa Hack. —(4) Flying Shot 1, (5) Quarter Deck 2, (1) Moorgns 3. Won by one and a-half lengths; a short head. Time 1.53 2-5.

ROSEHILL RACES. SYDNEY, Sept. 16. Rosehill races were held in fine weather, the going being good. Rosehill Guineas—Mollinson 8.5 1, Ramulus 8.5 2, Roserea 8.5 3. Mon by one and three-quarter lengths, Roscrea, three lengths away. 'Time 1.52, Rosehill Cup—Resource 7.0 1, Speaker 7,3 2, Lord Kennaquhair 6.9 3. Won by three-quarters of a length. In the Shade, which led to the distance, finished fifth. Time 2.20. Rosehill Stakes—Limerick 9.7 .1, Prince Humphrey 7.12 2, Green Line 3.11 3. Green Lino and Satrap were in front at the half mile, two lengths away, then coming Raasay, Prince Humphrey and Solitas, with Limerick a lone way hack. Limerick here started to make up the leeway. Green
Line led into the straight from llaascy, Satrap, Limerick nnd Prince Humphrey. With a smart run, Limerick took charge at the distance, and, continuing ill great form, lie won easily by two lengths, with Green Line four lengths away. Time 1.39. Limerick was far behind the leaders at the half mile and his supporters became anxious, but the wonder horseas lie is now hailed after his twelfth successive will—had the race won a furlong from home, and lie literally ate up the ground, finishing at a tremendous' pace. Pr.iucje HMmphrey’s form made a, good impression on his Derby supporters, be showing up much better than Raasay.
FAMOUS JOCKEY BANKRUPT. LONDON, Sept. 15. A bankruptcy receiving order, on a creditor’s petition, has been issued against the fmous jockey, Steve Donogliuc.
