In the presences of 3000 people, in 'brigfit sunshine, with a total absence of wind, and upon a ground in first class, condition, the All. Blacks yesterday met the combined Bullet-West Coast team, and after an interesting display defeated the local side by 40 points to three. It was an ideal day and doubly welcome after the atrocious weather experienced on Tuesday. The “gate” amounted to £152. From the start the All Blacks showed theiv superiority and scores came regularly mainly by combined hack movements in which Cooke was a brilliant pivot. In tbe first half tries wore scored y Maekay (3), and Oliver, Snodgrass converting three, 'lB to nil. In the second half tries were scored by Cooke, Robinson (2), Snodgrass, Mackay, and Freitas, Snodgrass converting two. For Combined Coast MeCleary scored a try. Of the visitors the forwards wlio showed opt were Knight, Freitas, Robinson, Wlhnighby and Porter, while Cooke, Oliver, McTCenze and Maekay were the pick of the backs. The Combined team were good in the forwards and played a most creditable game. TTngar played as well as any forward on the field being assisted from his pack by A.
