TASMANJ^LIGIIT. NO CHANCE FOR AIRMEN. FOR. NEXT FEW DAYS. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 6. The message from the Government Meteorologist to the Sydney Meteorologist and Kingston! Smith to-day is that conditions aro very disturbed over the Tasman with northerly to westerly winds strong, generally reaching full force of a gale in places. Unsettled weather is increasing with northerly winds and wet weather setting ill over New Zealand. Expect very unsettled weather conditions for tile next two or three days.

The aviator, Keith Anderson, who is to attempt the Sydney-London flight to-morrow, in an effort to break Hinkler’s record, had considerable experience on active service and in England with the Royal Flying Corps. He will he accompanied by Hitchcock as engineer and general assistant. SEAPLANE! FLIGHT. OTTAWA, Sept. 5. The longest cross country seaplane flight ever attempted started to-day when Squadron-Leader A. E. Godfrey of the Canadian Air Forco, accompanied by eergt-Major Graham, mechanic, hopped off from Lake Cormoran, Manitoba, thence to Vancouver. He carries the first airship to tho Pacific Coast. The take-off of the big Fairchild monoplane from Lake Deschcne was thrilling, the pilot being unable to make sufficient heifuwny to lift the machine from the water. The official launch rushed across the path, leaving a swell riding high, which eventually enabled the pilot to lift the machine. Tlio flight will be made in two hops of 3000 miles, returning over six thousand miles with a jaunt across Canada.
