Tin's is .Hie reason and the excuse for the conference of employers, unionists and economic experts convened at Wellington a few months ago; and all people who take their civic and political responsihilites seriously must sympathise with the Prime Minister in the importance that he attaches to these discussions, and the value of the recommendations and proposals that they produced.
