Y Piiorosun Secession. Who proposal to ho discussed in the Tasmanian Parliament, that the State should secede from the Commonwealth, is inere.stiug from more than one point of view. It lias special interest for New Zealand, for if this country had joined the Federation thirty years ago it would, sooner or later, probably have contemplated a similar retracing step. Tasmania has long felt that she is hadlv used by the Commonwealth.
