EMPIRE SPORTS. (United Service.) (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.Y LONDON, Aug., 31. As the outcome of meetings since August 14th'of Anglo-Domiiiions representatives, it has been decided provisionally to form nil Empire Sports Federation as the central body for “Empirades,” said Mr Amos before returning to Norv Zealand by the Ruahinc on September dth. The Amateur Athletic Association of Britain is convening a meeting of representatives to submit proposals to submit proposals to their own Federations on their return and suggested, the constitution provides nil equal representation by Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Rhodesia, Canada, Newfoundland and India one apiece and a similar number for British sporting associations, the chairman to have the casting vote. Various suggestions will bo interchanged.

Nothing will he finalised pending a representative meeting immediately before the Empire sports at Hamilton, Canada, in 1930. At present it is felt that a member of the Empire Federation Committee should not simultaneously he a member of the International Olympic Committee.

It was agreed mixed teams should not be sent tp international meetings, hut that women should organise their own meeting, while the dominions organisations should have their own President.

London members of the Empire Federation Committee visiting members to be allowed to attend meetings hut not to have voting powers. Mr Amos added there was no prospect of the Canadians accepting the New Zealand Federation’s invitation for 1928, but were prepared to consider sending out a team in 1929-30. The Americans will shortly be considering invitations for New Zealand for 1928. The boxer, Morgan’s hand has been X-rayed with a view to discovering the cause of the injury. It is believed there is a hone cracked.

GOLF HANDICAPS. SYDNEY, September 1

Womeids golf associates here agree with Miss Kay that golf handicaps in New Zealand arc too flattering. New (■Zealand players in handicap events at the recent Australian championship suffered thereby. Handicaps here are revised every two years, but no players mark is ever moved up more than six strokes. Prominent officials considered a. general tightening up of handicapping methods is necessary in New Zealand if visiting players are to he placed on an equal footing, with Australians.
