SEARCHLIGHT FOR LANDING,
CHRISTCHURCH, September I
In order to guard against tlio airmen being faced by grave difficulties in landing should they through any cause arrive after darkness has fallen, a powerful searchlight has arrived at Wigram Aerodrome from Fort Dorset (Wellington). The searchlight was sent to Christchurch at the instance of the local committee which had discussed the possibility of night landing. The searchlight will ho of great assistance to the aviators in the event of them taking off at night on 'the retflru flight to Australia.
