dannevirke meeting. (By Telegraph— Per Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, August 29. , The Dannevirke Racing Club’s spring meeting was held to-day in cold but fine weather. The course was soft after two days of rain. Tlie attendance was (fair, and the tote handled £8155, compared with £10,347 for the corresponding meeting last year. Results:— Glengarry Hack Hurdles.—(2) Royal Elm 1, (1) Cohesion 2, (3) Lieutenant Bill 3. Won by a neck and by twelve lengths. Time 2.52 1-5.
liratu Maiden.—(2) Charmaline 1, (5) Teremoana 2, (5) Marcia 3. Won by a length and by a neck. Time 1.6 2-5. President’s Handicap.—(3) Starboard Light 1, (4) Dreamy 2, (1) Arrow End 3. Won by eight lengths and by a half length. Time 1.19. Uinutaoroa liac-k Handicap.—(2) Grey Mist 1, (3) Abisogne 2, (3) Arrow Boy 3. Won by a length, and by a length. Time 1.30 2-5. Neagle Handicap.—(3) Comical 1, (1) Royal Game 2, (5) Shining Armour 3. Won by and a half; four lengths away. Time 2.16 2-5.
